Southwark Street, London - Refurbishment
This was a total refurbishment of a 1920s office space, with a limited electrical supply. The property was to be used with multiple tenants occupying variable amounts of floor area and tenancy lengths.
Along with having to deal with the damage caused by squatters, the project involved the total removal of the old LPHW heating-only system and installing new lighting, air-conditioning, and ventilation throughout the property. The client’s vision of an industrial look meant that the building services would remain on show to the new tenants.
With careful design and working with the architects to improve the building fabric, the building’s EPC rating was improved to a B-31.
