Pentagon Centre, Glasgow - Refurbishment
The 225,000 sq.ft serviced office building dating back to the 1890s had an issue identified with the fire alarm system which if not rectified may have resulted in the building being closed by the local fire officer.
The current fire alarm system dated back to the 1980s and had not been updated to meet current regulations despite numerous alterations made to the building over the years. It was also identified that the corridors were missing fire lobbies around the entrances
SEA Consulting was brought in to ensure the building was compliant with the current regulations and to design a plan of works to take place while existing tenants remained in occupation.
