Energy Surveys


The Practice carries out in-depth energy surveys and monitors on a continuing basis energy usage of energy within their Clients premises.

These works include the following:

Checking of energy bills and recording energy trends

Resolving actual energy bills rather than estimated bills

Checking tariffs and contracts and viewing ways of change and reducing running costs

Site survey to assess areas of high energy use and potential works to implement energy and cost savings

Site survey to assess the usage of the building times of operation and controls that save both the heating, lighting and power, and air conditioning services

Implementation of installation works to add energy saving devices to reduce energy use

As part of new Government legislation that is being implemented in 2009 and 2010, Steve Elphick Associates is a registered Government Energy Assessor involved in all aspects of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive 2002, and the new Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) programme being implemented in 2010.

These works include the following:

The survey and issue of Energy Performance Certificates for building sales and rents

The survey, energy assessment and issue for the Display Energy Certificates in compliance with the responsibilities required by Public Authorities to show the amount of energy being used within the building

The survey and inspection of Air Conditioning Installations of buildings to determine their energy usage and to make recommendations in ways in which to reduce these energy costs

Assessment of energy usage within an organisation to determine whether additional energy taxes will be implemented by the Government as part of CRC programme
